John Wallace Winborne (1884-1966), was agraduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., and a justice ofthe North Carolina Supreme Court. The collection includes photographs of John WallaceWinborne's student days at Horner Military Academy in Oxford, N.C.; the Universityof North Carolina; and Bingham School in Asheville, N.C. Also included are group orcomposite photographs of the North Carolina Supreme Court for several years, anautographed photograph of North Carolina Governor J. Melville Broughton, and aphotographic album containing portraits of the 1906 senior class at the Universityof North Carolina.
